How to use Compress Image to KB

How it works
- Auto mode encodes the selected format with a binary quality search, then reduces dimensions only when the lowest practical quality is still above the target.
- The tool does not silently switch formats. JPG, PNG, or WebP is chosen by the user, so the result matches the destination rule.

Real failure cases
- PNG can miss tiny targets because browser PNG export does not expose a normal lossy quality control.
- Keeping JPEG EXIF can push a result over the target when the metadata consumes too many bytes.
- A huge detailed photo may need dimensions below the practical minimum; the result panel names that condition instead of pretending success.
